If I had to describe myself, the short response would be that ‘I am a keen as mustard amateur photographer’. Added to that I would probably steal an expression used by Max Boyce, when reminiscing about Barry John and say that I was hand made in Wales.
I was born and brought up on a farm in the Brecon Beacons.
I was totally immersed in nature and as a youngster, was a keen nature photographer. My hobby took second place to a hectic professional career and was relegated to holiday snaps for many years. When my circumstances changed I returned to my roots, got myself an adorable puppy and started taking long walks with him in the countryside, along the coastline and wherever I travelled. I quickly realised just how lucky I was to re-engage with the wonders that nature has to offer.
Encouraged by family and friends, I invested in a professional camera and re-trained in my new career as a working photographer.
The result has brought me immense joy and satisfaction and I hope that my images and the unique way in which I reproduce them will bring you as much pleasure too.
